Everyone thinks that Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman are the key to the Dodgers’ offensive success in 2024. I beg to differ. Of course, the Dodgers need the three former MVPs to step up and do what they do, but there are a few other players who could also be the…
This is not going to be a long, exhaustive analysis like some sites engage in. Most of what they surmise never happens anyway. I do not need exhaustive comparisons and explanations of what may or may not happen. I prefer the 30,000-foot evaluation, and I do not get paid by the…
Emmet Sheehan made his Major League debut for the Dodgers on June 16, 2023 against the Giants and threw six no-hit innings. Yoshinobu Yamamoto has built up a reputation of being one of the greatest pitching talents to ever come out of Japan. His ability to command multiple…
Thanks for your patience, We are back after some server issues. After Game Two in Seoul, the internet was abuzz with Dodger fans denouncing just about everything about the Dodgers: Yamamoto was a bust Glasnow was horrid The bullpen was even worse Max Muncy was the worst 3B in…
We had to migrate our site to another server and we are having some PHP issues. My guy that handled this for 15 years moved to Florida so my new developer is learning on the fly. He is a solid guy and will figure it out soon. Patience Grasshoppers! I have a lot of “stuff” to…
What do I make of the game two debacle in Seoul. Very little! We know that the pitchers are better than that. Now, I realize that some Dodgers fans are so skilled in their analysis of players that after one game or one inning they can make a determination as to whether that…
I admit that I am worried. Allegedly, Ippei Mizuhara, the longtime friend and interpreter for Ohtani, incurred some gambling debts and allegedly wired transferred $4.5 Million dollars out of Shohei Ohtani’s bank accounts with his knowledge or was it without his knowledge? Are we…
You’ve never heard that before! Ha, Ha! Nowhere do we see evidence of that more than with Gavin Stone. In 2022, he was the Dodgers Minor League Pitcher of the year and looked ready to take the next step. Then, after looking good in Spring Training in 2023, he laid an egg and put…
I am just going to jump right into this one: In 2023, the best Caught Stealing Rate by Catchers was +9. That means that the best catcher was good for +9 Runs Over League Average. Will Smith was -1 Run Below Average and Austin Barnes was -4 Runs Below League Average. If Austin…
The Dodgers Minor League Players played the Angels and the Dodgers won 8-1. The Dodger pitchers struck out 14 and only allowed the Angels 4 hits. The Dodgers prospects also struck out 14 times, but got some key hits. The Angels Caden Dana who at 6′ 4″ and long blonde hair is a…
There are perhaps no players who are are polarizing as Gavin Lux and Miguel Vargas. Everyone has an opinion it seems… and they vary wildly. Both are players who have defensive challenges and who have bats that could be special. First of all, the Dodgers value Gavin Lux’s bat. I…
Is everyone aware that the Angels are just one of only two MLB Teams that do not have Announcers who travel with the team? Terry Smith and Mark Langston, the announcers for the Orange County Angels, call the game from Anaheim by watching the Bally Sports West video feeds. Before…
