A person with just sight might say, “ Wrobleski is obviously not ready to pitch in the Big Leagues ,” and they are probably right, but someone who has some vision will say, “ Wow, the kid recovered from a shellacking and pitched four good innings yesterday. – he must have some…
The Dodgers are 82 and 54 and are the only team in baseball with a winning percentage over .600 (.603). There are 24 games left in the season. Trying to predict the playoff roster is silly and simply not possible. If Joe Kelly gets hot down the stretch, he will be on the roster…
All Season, I have been telling everyone who would listen that it is not important how you play in April. It is not how you play in May and June. It’s not how you play in July and August. It’s also not how you play in September. What it is all about is getting to October. Only…
Josue De Paula is making waves as the Dodgers’ #2 prospect, trailing only Dalton Rushing, and he’s also climbed to the #49 spot in MLB’s overall rankings. Baseball America rates him even higher, slotting him as the Dodgers’ second-best and the #39 prospect across all of MLB. The…
I would like to think that one thing I have is perspective, which is the ability to think about a situation or problem in a wise and reasonable way. I am able to keep things in perspective – usually, the overall situation isn’t really that bad . I think that is the root of why I…
In a word, “Yes!” It’s hard to argue that any prospect in the Dodgers’ system made a bigger leap this season than Freeland. The UCF alum has skyrocketed his stock in 2024, powering through three levels with 14 home runs and an impressive .823 OPS. Already recognized as a solid…

In 2000, the “average OPS for an MLB Baseball player was .782. Now, for the uninitiated, I believe that if you have to use one statistic to measure a player’s ability to be a force offensively, then OPS is your man. In 2024, the average OPS is .713. Now, for full disclosure, OPS…
A lot of Dodger fans are in an uproar because the Dodgers, over the past few years, have done exceedingly well in the regular season, ONLY TO GET BOUNCED IN THE PLAYOFFS! Then they like to say stupid stuff like, “ Andrew Friedman knows how to build a team for the regular season…
So, as we all know by now, the Dodgers opted to jettison Jason Heyward and keep Kike Hernandez, Chris Taylor, and Tommy Edman, also with Austin Barnes and Kevin Kiermaier. I hate to see J-Hey go, but the reality of the situation is that he was really just a Right Fielder, and…
This may be a revelation to some, but I do know how to read. I read what is on this blog and also on the LAdodgerChronicles blog. I still say that many of the commenters there are morons, and I am sticking to that. Jeff Dominique is very, very knowledgeable, and I read his stuff…
For the first time in three years, the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in unfamiliar territory, struggling to pull away from the pack. For nearly a decade, they’ve enjoyed the luxury of coasting through the stretch run, using September as a mere rehearsal—with only a…
