Kike Hernandez is a huge waste of a roster spot. FAZ has no idea how to build a roster. I have no idea why they would sign Chase Utley he s finished. DFA Hatcher and Baez. Chris Taylor is organizational depth. That s all. Rich Hill has never been anything reliable. Brandon McCarthy is a waste of a roster space. Alex Wood? He s horrible! Julio Urias is over-rated. The league
Tim and Christina Smelzer were looking at a picture of their ten year old son, Devin, with Cole Hamels. But this was not an ordinary picture. This was a picture of a young boy with no hair due to chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments treating his cancer. After taking too many trips to the bathroom to urinate, Devin was diagnosed on multiple occasions with a urinary tract infection. However a
There s this little race here in Indy today that I am going to, so you won t hear much from me. By the way, even if you don t like racing, it should be on your bucket list. It has to be one of the Ten Wonders of the World. I am not a big race fan can t tell you who is in the points lead or any of that, but on
Says who? Name a Number 2 better than Clayton Kershaw! He has a 7-2 record and a 2.01 ERA and then of course our #1, Alex Wood is 6-0 with a 1.69 ERA and he has pitched like 26 straight scoreless innings. There s not a better duo in baseball. Of course, the Dodgers are #1 in all of baseball in tear ERA and WHIP. and then Baez and Hatcher
Written by Bumsrap Duke Snider. Hall of Famer. For many of us he was our favorite player back in our much younger days. We still love him. He was a star player on a very good team for many years. He was certainly my favorite player by far. He caught my attention as an 8 year old and stayed in my heart. But, as I have matured and evolved I
Last night, many Dodger fans saw a pitcher who they felt was ineffective and not in control of the game. Of course, they were right. Rich Hill walked more than Lebron James in the NBA Finals. They felt he should be moved out of the rotation, to the minors, hung in effigy, DFA ed or moved to the bullpen. Last night, I saw Rich Hill have excellent movement, but he did
If I say, Greetings, Earthlings! does that imply you I am alien or that does that mean I am merely greeting my fellow earthling? But, I digress! I have been slammed this week and it is not getting any better, but there is this from the Dodgers: DODGERS REINSTATE LOGAN FORSYTHE LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated infielder Logan Forsythe from the 10-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher Josh Ravin
On June 12 – 14, MLB will hold the 2017 Amateur draft. The Dodgers will select #23, #62, #100 in the first three rounds. The draft is again considered light on college position players, and strong with high schoolers. The overall number one selection goes to the Twins, who most project will select either University of Louisville 2 way player (lefty pitcher and 1B, Brendan McKay), or high school 2
Julio Urias has been horrendous in his last two starts after being pretty good in his first three starts. He has pitched 23.1 innings this year and currently has a 5.40 ERA. The competition has hit 12 HR off of young Julio. No, that s a lie! He has only given up one HR! So, is that how it works three good starts and two bad starts and you get sent
I was listening to an interview about how the Cubs were built on MLB Radio a few days ago and heard a story about how Kyle Hendricks was acquired. First of all, I have the greatest respect for Theo Epstein and do not want to denigrate him in any way, but the story shows how sometimes it s better to be lucky that good. As the Cubs were being blown up, Theo
There are no excuses. It s all about just getting the job done. When Kershaw went down last year, it was Next Man Up! There s nothing different about that with Justin Turner. Justin is a very good player, but this team is deep and Chris Taylor or Logan Forsythe can play third base. For that matter, the much-maligned Kike Hernandez can too. While I am thinking about it, I haven t heard
It s fun to sit around and play GM at times. We can make trades without compunction for Matt Kemp, Marcel Ozuna and about any other player on the planet. In reality, almost none of those trades ever happen. I probably suggest more trades than anyone and I cannot remember a single one that was ever made. I guarantee you that Farhan Zaidi and Andrew Friedman have been working the phones
