Be careful what you wish for (Kenley Jansen) – you might get it! Kenley sure has had some dramatic losses for us this year. I blame his Doctors – they said he could pitch. It was obvious he could not! Malpractice is what it was!
According to Ken Gurnick of Dodgers.com, Jansen may have been too amped up:
Jansen said he was so excited to be activated, he might have been a little too excited.
“The first two hitters, I wasn’t in my comfort zone,” Jansen said. “I think I tried to maybe be amped up to be back and try hard and everything flattened out. I definitely didn’t come back too soon. Stuff happens, but you’ve got to move forward. Tomorrow, if I have a shot, same hitters, I’m looking forward to it.”
Well, I guess that happens, but this stuff can’t happen much longer – not just the blown saves, but the failure to hit with RISP. The Dodgers are 2-1/2 games out and theres not much margin for error. It was just one game, but there aren’t that many left! The fact of the matter is: Jansen has lost 4 games and blown 3 saves this season!
To those who think Roberts is FAZ’s puppet, are you watching what this genius (I use that with sarcasm) is doing? FAZ is giving him all the data every game and he continues to do stupid stuff. Gomber is death to RH hitters, so Doc lines up his three worst RH hitters in a row: Hernandez, Taylor and Barnes. Dave Roberts thinks he is the smartest person in the room, when he not even in the top 75%. He’s not FAZ’s puppet – he’s a contrarian – he does stuff just because he thinks he’s smarter than they are. It’s going to cost him his job!

- Austin Barnes body language screams “Please walk me – I can’t jump out of a boat and hit water!” Kike ands CT3 are all-or-nothing players… mostly nothing!
- I do not think Alex Verdugo is a solution (long-term) to play CF, but he can play there for a while. The Dodgers need his OB% bat in the lineup, like NOW! What is the holdup?
- el Gasolino has not given up a hit or run his last 4 appearances, spanning 5.1 innings. That’s a start. He is starting to pitch… not just throw.
- Maeda looked comfortable out of the pen. Wood was not comfortable as a starter. I think Chicken Strip will take Wood’s spot when he comes back. Wood is better suited to the bullpen right about now.
- CT3 and Kike: Only one should be on the roster – they are the same player right about now… unless one decided to adopt Bellinger’s approach.
- These guys better get busy – time is running out!

One Word “Frustrating”
We hit mediocre pitching, or a pitcher that is not having a good game, really well.
And that is why we have some games that are blows outs, and everyone hits, a solo HR.
But the Cards young pitchers with Yadi behind the plate, are not as easy, to hit.
Hopefully Roberts changes up the top of the order tonight, because this Card starting pitcher tonight, has a pretty good ERA.
Because sometimes our good pitching, can’t win one for us, when we leave 11 runners on base, and don’t get a single hit, when runners are in scoring position.
We left 11 man on base last night. Petersen left five runners on in scoring position. Muncey is horrible on defense. Turner got the error, but Mincey should of had that throw. They just are not much fun to watch.
The 10 game winning streak begins tonight!!! (I got nothing and the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet)

Has any team ever finished first in the league in ERA and runs and not made the playoffs? We might just be the first to accomplish that!

Lol agree nothing to say but I expect a little accountability in the off-season.
This little league philosophy of everyone plays and who cares about getting players into a groove is dooming us with risp. Baseball is hard enough but to have to come through after always being off a day is impossible. The thought process has to change a bit in the off-season, these are not machines!!

Such horrible lack of fundamental baseball we are witnessing. 2nd and 3rd no outs and we get 2 K’s and then a weak flyout to the OF. Dozier looked a lot like Forsythe at his AB striking out feebly on an off speed pitch. Lets DFA Turner Ward.
In before anyone else: Horrible at bat by Puig! Put the damn bat on the ball when 2nd and 3rd and nobody out.

This is who the Dodgers are. Any runs scored are the result of HR’s, no scoring= a lot of strikeouts. This team is not built for a sustained offensive threat and instead are entirely too reliant on the long ball. They can’t seem to get a big hit when they need it as Joc displayed with a bases loaded flyout.
Say what you want and I’m not a Doc apologist and have questioned many of his moves, but this is the team given to him by the FO. Serious regression by CT 0 for 3, Cody, Keekee, Barnes, Woods, a suspect BP have all resulted in a subpar season.
I want to see another post season but I’ve got to think a failure to do so will result in some serious changes.
The energy and urgency is just not there, like they are waiting for the next bad thing to happen. This brand of baseball is insufferable, bad bullpen and lack of clutch hitting will doom all teams, .500 team in more ways then one.
Anyone else getting tired of watching Muncy trying to play defense anywhere on the field?
Re. any Harper to LA trade: even for 6 weeks of Harper, Wash would ask for Verdugo PLUS. They sure as hell won’t ask for Kemp and the $26mil left on his deal
