Nothing Wrong With Back of the Rotation SP for LAD
I said it when Roki Sasaki was struggling…If not Roki, who? He finally started to pitch with more confidence and he put together a string of positive starts. Yes, there were those who forgot about his previous four excellent starts and instead focused on his CWS start. He is a…

Who Bats Where?
A good percentage of comments on this blog relate to “who bats where” in the batting order. “Shohei should bat cleanup.” “ Freddie should be the number three hitter.” “No, Freddie should hit second.” “Max Muncy should hit cleanup.” “Mookie should hit 9th.” … and on and on… Where…

Happy, Hopeful, Blessed, and Thankful
I grew up in Ohio and lived there until 1976, when I was 23 years old. I have been in Indiana for 50 years, so I consider myself a Hoosier. Now, I actually live 45 minutes from Bloomington, where the IU Hoosiers play. However, since I was nine years old, I have been a Dodger…

Are You True Blue?
What do I mean by true blue? Well, over the years I have seen my share of bandwagon and fair-weather fans. True blue fans stick with the team no matter what. Their allegiance to the team never waivers. Not when a favorite is traded or lost to free agency, not when the team…

Disagree, not disagreeable
my oldest son was 3 when Gibby hit thar home run in 88! he was sitting on my lap and i bounced him in the floor. Freddie’s home run, i was watching by myself, although both my sons were watching at their houses along with my grandson. We were on the phone throughout the game talking strategy and it was amazing! Which would i say is bigger? i can’t rate one over the other! Watching with my 3 year old son was so special! Knowing that basically my whole family was all watching was so special. My oldest son is married to a wonderful young lady from new Hampshire. (red sox fans). But yet she seemed overjoyed when the dodgers won! My youngest son is married to a soccer “girl”. Now she’s buying dodger apparel for my grandkids! So i’ll just say , it’s a tie for me! Hopefully we can talk about this again next year! … AF, please bring Teo back for Christmas!!!!!!!
I can’t recall an off-season with so much action involving big names across the majors–Soto, Tucker, Adames, Snell, Crochet, Fried, Devin Williams–and certainly a lot more to come, including the Sasaki sweepstakes.
Exciting times even with zero games.
As for the Dodgers, I haven’t yet given up hope on Teo, or the Dodgers swinging a surprising deal.
Freeman’s grand slam ball is up for auction and after 11 bids is currently at $600,000.
Cubs closing in on deal for Tucker
Wow! Every time I see that inning and how the players ALL embraced Freddie, how he pays tribute to his dad, I get choked up. Even I am surprised how emotional I find it to be. This will literally live in baseball legend like so many iconic moments of the past: The Babe calling his shot (whether true or not), Willy’s catch of Wertz’s drive in ’54, Gibson’s HR, and on and on. One of a handful of events that will live in everyone’s memory but especially to Dodgers and Yankees fans.
I truly PRAY Freddie goes into the Hall as a Dodger. Maybe another championship (or two!) will seal that deal.
You can say goodbye to Devin Williams now, he’s almost a new Yankee
Can someone please explain to me the minor league portion of the rule 5 draft?
We lost 4 kids and I thought they liked that Korean pitcher. Sorry I couldn’t spell his name if I tried. Just asking for a friend.
Book em
seeing the Alcantara whispering on different sites. if healthy he’s an exceptional talent. it could happen! miami is unloading all their young players (major league) for prospects. Burger was sent to texas earlier this week. A rotation of Glasnow,Snell, Yamamoto,Alcantara, Gonsolin? wow! i’m forgetting someone, oh yeah, ohtani guy! And by the way , saw a trade proposal from sports illustrated writer, muncy and miller to houston for kyle tucker. rumor? yeah, but i’d do that one!
A lot of fans are questioning why Mookie is playing SS.
All I can say is because Andrew Friedman is a dumbass who doesn’t know anything and you evidently know better.
There’s your answer… now can we stop talking about it?
A former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher is on the move again.
“Left-handed reliever Victor Gonzalez, who played in parts of three seasons with the Dodgers before being traded to the New York Yankees last year, has signed a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
Gonzalez, now 29 years old, began his career with the Dodgers all the way back in 2012 when the team signed him as an amateur international free agent. Gonzalez worked his way up through the organization before making his MLB debut in 2020 during the pandemic-shortened season”.
“My goal — now, it’s been my goal the last however many years and I failed miserably at it — my goal is to avoid ‘July to buy.’ I do not want to buy in July. I feel like the more times I say it out loud, the better chance it has to actually be a thing.” — Friedman
There is only one opening on the 40 man roster right now. Who takes that spot Teo,Sasaki, Scott or Williams? If more than one, someone will have to be removed by trade or a DFA.
It was awesome.
Watched that in awe on the back porch with my son.
A memory that will last a lifetime…or 2.
Alcantara to the Dodgers!?!?!?
I thought it was Alex Cora’s.
YUP!
