- This is not the first time Tyler Glasnow has had cramps. He has a big body, and maybe he should drink more electrolytes. Easy, Peasy!
- If Roberts “overmanaged” on Saturday, then he “double-overmanaged” on Sunday, but when the pitchers deliver, it’s not overmanaging. Six relievers, and they all did their jobs. Saturday, one did not do his job… and Roberts is an idiot? I think not!
- Evan Phillips is filthy again!
- Tanner Scott is as advertised.
- Phillips and Scott are best buds.
- Jack Dreyer is the real deal. He’s a keeper. Banda is on the bubble.
- Mookie Betts doesn’t look like he ever played the outfield. He’s a born SS.
- Gavin Lux – LF (.319 BA/.818 OPS) – Who was that moron who said he should play LF?
- Luis Robert, Jr. and Miguel Vargas – Who is worse? It’s close. If you add their batting averages together, they are hitting .301.
- Jacob Amaya is hitting less than half his weight! .095! YIKES!
- The White Sox, Marlins, Pirates, & Rockies owners should be forced to sell their teams.
- Landon Knack gave up one run in 5 innings vs. Arizona last year. He gave up one run in 4.2 IP against the Giants and later gave up one run in 5 IP against the Giants. He gave up two runs against Cleveland in six innings. He doesn’t just pitch well against bad teams. He is learning to pitch in the MLB, and he’s A #5.
- I have never trusted Kirby Yates. Don’t let him close, and he’s an asset. It’s not IF you give up hits – It’s “WHEN!” Kirby Yates was a very good closer on a sub-500 team in 2024 (.481 winning %). He came to the Dodgers because he had never really been part of a winning team. That’s admirable. Just don’t let him close. His best split doesn’t split when times get tight.

Assuming Kopech, Bazooka, and phillips are healthy,(Evan seems fine)., Yates can be part of a “MONSTER “ pen! Trienan sounds vdone to me, although i hope i’m wrong. Garcia is not for long on the dodgers. I thought all 3 starters pitched well in texas! Glasnow just had some cramping issues. If Snell comes back soon, and Gonsolin gets back as well, not to mention Clayton, the rotation is the best in the majors! i’m still concerned about the offense! Barnes had a hit ! his second of the season. Conforto thru 9? not too good! Bringing another .200 hitter ( Robert) doesn’t sound like the cure!

Condolences to the Catholic’s among you on the passing of the Pope. A win is a win no matter how close the game is. Smith is one of my favorite players on this team. More Sac flies than any other player in the last several years and lots of clutch hits too. Much better at it than Grandal. LOL. Saw a blurb on Yahoo sports saying the White Sox are interested in Outman. At this point, I do not see a Sox player I would be interested in a trade for Outman. Arraez injured in a collision during the Pads win yesterday. Angels won the series with the Giants 2-1.
Banda is definitely NOT on the bubble. He is out of options and can’t be sent to the minors, has a rubber arm and can basically pitch every day which is extremely valuable, and was dependable in the playoffs last year (3-0, 1.13 ERA). He’s also been pretty solid this year (let’s not overreact because he has an ERA of 4 in 9IP. . I don’t see any way he’s not a part of this bullpen barring injury.
Glasnow (lower leg) is expected to make his next start Sunday versus the Pirates, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

It’s way early, but if one is so inclined they will find I predicted that the Lux trade will not age well. I realize the return has looked good so far but we gave up on Lux to early in my unprofessional opinion.

AF never said he wouldn’t be a player come the trade deadline. He said he didn’t want to be a buyer but maybe a seller is his intent. Let the teams hungry for pitching overpay for our tradable pitching depth. We are deep enough to not overpay for a rental at the deadline. AF could be looking to add to our plethora of top tier young talent. We shall see.

The game my wife and I saw in OKC last Thursday against Tacoma, Drew Pomeranz came in and threw the ninth against the Coments. I thought he looked sharped. I remember him from some time ago. I saw that today the Cubs traded for him. Just throwing it out there.
I thought Lux was ideal for hitting 9th for the Dodgers.

Love seeing Busch, Lux and McKinstry doing good. We are getting old and replacing Max, Barnes Miggy, Kike and Taylor should happen soon. Also, we are wearing out the bullpen. Nothing will be left for the playoffs. We do the same thing with smith every year!

Status: Imaging revealed a low-grade sprain; manager Dave Roberts expects Treinen to only need rest and rehab for now, but he’ll be evaluated further. (updated April 20)
1. Muncy, Barnes, Rojas, Keekay & Taylor are certainly toward the ends of their Dodger tenured. We decided to opt in to Barnes and Rojas so we clearly value their veteran contributions. Muncy is still a big league 3B, Keekay we had to run it back, and Taylor’s nearing his expiration date.
2. I agree about the bullpen but the goal is to rotate in a lit of fresh arms throughout the year, either injury returns [Gonsolin. Graterol, etc ] or prospects [Frasso].
3. We should know how to approach the playoffs this year. Watch for about one month out, when everything we do seems aimed at October.
I hate putting Miggy on the discard list since he is a good fielder and huge clubhouse presence. Just hope he gets the same offer Crash Davis got at the end of Bull Durham. Would make a great bench/infield coach. We have to bring up the stud catcher and a replacement for Max so we can groom them. Even Feduccia’s I left handed bat would be a nice relief against tough RH pitchers for Smitty..
The reason the Dodgers traded Lux was
#1 – He was never going to hit LHP, so he was a platoon 2B or LF
#2 – This is the main reason: The Dodgers really like Mike Sirota.
We shall see if that shakes out.
Sirota is hitting .343 with a .996 OPS at RC.
Let’s see what happens when he moves up to RC.
By the time the trading deadline comes Taylor’s contract will be minimal. I hope he starts hitting and he’s worth keeping but at deadline might make sense to open up the roster spot if the spot is needed.

So Roberts managing blunders starting to show up, bottom of lineup –worse than ever–. Guys we traded doing great, pitcher injuries popping up again.
