Thanks for another great year at LADT. I am still looking for additional writers – Bear will continue to write, but I am going to continue to cut back. My book is getting close, and there will be a second one. The book website will be up soon, and you will have a lot more information. This has been an incredible year for me:

  • Surgeries have been successful, and my shoulder and back pain are 87% gone.
  • US Water Systems is up 34% in 2025 after being up 31% in 2024 and 26% in 2023;
  • My daughter is coming to work for us on January 5, 2026, and I had the privilege of buying her a new company car for that.
  • My main squeeze (actually, my only one) is opening up a restaurant and bar in an upscale area;
  • The family is doing great, and
  • Shadrack is now a 140-pound Super Beast

From Our Family to Yours: Thank You All, and Go Dodgers!

Our son, who is the CEO of US Water Systems, will be 27 next year. My wife will be 63, and I will be 73. That’s really hard for me to comprehend. We are Very Blessed!

From LADT’s Sponsor – US Water Systems – Merry Christmas!

    14 years ago 5 years wasn’t likely. 3 years ago 7months was off the menu. More than a year ago I was told to make arangements. Today I don’t feel much worse than 15 years ago. Ain’t life funy? Guess the right to dream had always been there and that’s never wasting time. Best of shots to all. Better New Years friends!

    Cloudy and very wet over Chavez Ravine as I look from my deck. I’m 3.8 miles from Dodger Stadium ( 2.5 as the crow flies ) Cloudy and wet today but bright and sunny in 2026.

    Yes great to be a DODGER fan. And a LADT fan. Thanks to all on this site and especially you Mark. You are a blessing. Encouraged by your fortitude and happy for your success. Upward and onward in the New Year.

    The Marlins and reliever Pete Fairbanks are in agreement on a contract, according to Will Sammon of the Athletic. It is a one-year, $13MM contract for the Republik Sports client, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. Per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the deal includes a $1MM signing bonus and another $1MM in incentives based on appearances. Fairbanks will also receive a bonus of $500,000 if he is traded. The deal is pending a physical.

    Last season I had a revelation, a kind of dream, in which I saw that the Dodgers were going to beat Toronto, and it happened… and now I can say that I feel that next season the Dodgers will play against the Yankees and they will win again….

    Merry Christmas!

Nothing Wrong With Back of the Rotation SP for LAD

I said it when Roki Sasaki was struggling…If not Roki, who? He finally started to pitch with more confidence and he put together a string of positive starts. Yes, there were those who forgot about his previous four excellent starts and instead focused on his CWS start. He is a…

Who Bats Where?

A good percentage of comments on this blog relate to “who bats where” in the batting order. “Shohei should bat cleanup.” “ Freddie should be the number three hitter.” “No, Freddie should hit second.” “Max Muncy should hit cleanup.” “Mookie should hit 9th.” … and on and on… Where…

Happy, Hopeful, Blessed, and Thankful

I grew up in Ohio and lived there until 1976, when I was 23 years old. I have been in Indiana for 50 years, so I consider myself a Hoosier. Now, I actually live 45 minutes from Bloomington, where the IU Hoosiers play. However, since I was nine years old, I have been a Dodger…

Are You True Blue?

What do I mean by true blue? Well, over the years I have seen my share of bandwagon and fair-weather fans. True blue fans stick with the team no matter what. Their allegiance to the team never waivers. Not when a favorite is traded or lost to free agency, not when the team…
