My stepdaughter is the event planner, and she has prepared a complete itinerary for us in England. She has a whole presentation prepared called: "National Lampoon’s
Timmons Family Vacation." Bournemouth & London | July 26 – August 3, 2026

We are taking 13 or 14 family members. It should be wild, and I am sure Watford Dodger and I will share a pint or three... and solve all the world's problems. I will be out from Sunday, July 26, until Wednesday, August 5th. Hopefully, Jeff and Bear will more than make up for me. We are staying at an Airbnb in Westminster. I will likely be "out of the loop" during the trip as we have a lot planned. This is our Anniversary present to each other. Next year is #30!

The Dodgers won the game last night on defense, even if Dalton Rushing did not execute the rundown properly. Dalton is a work in progress, but he is learning. Alfonzo is not the answer. Who? I think AF will target another catcher.

The switch to this new platform was pretty smooth. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I want to make it as enjoyable as possible. You are in good hands with Bear and Jeff, and it looks like our moderation problems are in the rear view mirror. This is where I turn it over to Jeff...

Sacramento River Cats (Giants) 7 – OKC Comets 3

LHSP Jackson Ferris pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits (1 HR), 2 BB, and 6 K.  It has been an up and down season for Ferris, mostly down.

The score remained 5-0 into the top of the 8th.  In the 8th, C Griffin Lockwood-Powell singled and with 2 outs, PH Matt Gorski drew a BB.  That was followed by Mr. OKC, AKA LF Ryan Ward’s 3 -run HR (11).

No OKC batter had more than 1 hit.  3B Kiké Hernández was 1-3.  Ward’s HR was the only XBH.  The team was 1-2 wRISP, and that too was Ward.  OKC was thoroughly outplayed by Sacramento.  Tomorrow is another game.

Gerardo Carrillo was called up by the D-Backs to make his MLB debut. Carrillo was part of the Max Scherzer-Trea Turner trade with the Nationals. Max Fried is being activated by the Yankees off of the IL>

The Dodgers added an intriguing arm to their relief depth by acquiring right-hander Seth Halvorsen from the Rockies on Monday afternoon in exchange for a pair of Minor Leaguers: outfielder Landyn Vidourek (L.A.'s No. 25 prospect prior to the trade) and righty Nick Frasso. Interesting trade.

I did not finish the MiLB summary reports until almost midnight. I am not sure how to get the X.com posts to populate in this new format. Hopefully Mark will see this and change the format to have the X.com files to open up. Mark, send me an emial and let me know how to do it.
