LA Dodger Talk Moving Forward
As I have mentioned, I need to reduce my involvement with LADT. Several of you have volunteered to write and some of you already write. The problem that I have is that if you send me a written post with some photos, it may take up to an hour for me to post it… and the thing is…

As I have mentioned, I need to reduce my involvement with LADT. Several of you have volunteered to write and some of you already write. The problem that I have is that if you send me a written post with some photos, it may take up to an hour for me to post it… and the thing is, it takes me about an hour to do a post myself, so that really does not help.
Jeff Dominique learned how to use Word Press and I would be glad to hold a Zoom Meeting to teach three or four of you how to use it as well. It’s not difficult! I think that in about a half-hour, I can show you what you need to know. You would just need to communicate with the group who was going to post and when.
I recommend a spell-check program, like Grammarly (which is free)… to minimize typos and structure issues. Let me know your thoughts. I can take a few minutes out of the day, but I can’t keep taking an hour… except on occasion.

Dodgers Food Trailer
I did this interview a couple of weeks ago with Chef Mike, who runs the Dodgers Food Trailer for the Great Lakes Loons. They are there for every home and road regular season and playoff game. They prepare three meals a day for approximately 50 people (players and coaches). Since games end late most evenings, they do not prepare breakfast. Many of their hotels have a complimentary breakfast anyway. However,…

Meet LAD 2026 Draft Picks 1-12
3 picks were High School players (2 SS and 1 OF). There was a college OF, college catcher, college SS, and 10 college pitchers. Of all the talk for a need for a catcher, the only catcher the Dodgers selected was Luke Bard, son of LAD bullpen coach Josh Bard. Bard was a 4th year senior from Houston Christian University. He is not a prospect, so the Dodgers are still…

Interview with Paul Beachy – Team Bus Driver For The Great Lakes Loons (LA Dodgers Minor League Team)
It’s been a few days since I did this interview. We have evidently been working my son-in-law (the video guy) like a rented mule at US Water Systems. However, I am taking him to London with me in a few days, so maybe Watford will buy him a pint as a tip, but he’s a dang Red Sox fan, so there is that! I thought that it would be interesting…

Thanks for Your Service: Chris Taylor
I was going to do this post when Chris announced he was retiring, then he changed his mind, but since the chances of him ever playing for the Dodgers again are slim and non-existent, I will go ahead with this post. He unretired, went on the IL, then decided to call it quits on May 24th. Taylor was born in Virginia Beach VA on August 29th, 1990. He attended Great…

Disagree, not disagreeable
More than willing. I was able to post on the Word Press dashboard, but when I had to change my password and sign in, I no longer could get back on. I think what I needed was the ok from the site administrator. Used to be Bearone48, now is the Oldbear handle. But send me an email and we can set up a metting. I can see things, but there is no mic on my end, so I cannot respond.
Hi Mark,
I’m willing to help out in any way possible in order to keep this site going. You got my email. Send me a link to that zoom meeting if you want to. Cheers.

Once again, well done Mark.
Maybe someone can update us on the AFL.
I have talked to some knowledgeable baseball people who have confirmed my suspicions that Carson Taylor could be a very good MLB Catcher really soon… like by at least 2023… or sooner. He is a switch-hitter which adds all the more to his value. He is 6′ 2″ and about 210, but since he is just 22, he could add 20 pounds pretty easily. He could take Barnes’s place in 2023.
Also talked to a guy who saw Gore and Miller pitch and said that Miller is a lot better thanGore.
I wonder if the Dodgers would consider bringing back hitting coach Tim Hyers.
Just saw the Rams picked up Von Miller …… interesting ……
Mariners declined Kyle Seager’s option. Dodgers not going to pick up Joe Kelly’s option. Melvin hiring in San Diego now official. Surprised the A’s, who had picked up his option months’ ago did not seek any compensation from the Pads for him leaving. Hyers notified the Sox he is not returning. Rangers hire Ecker away from the Giants to be their bench coach.
Mets search for a new GM is getting no where. Latest to turn down the job is Dodger exec, Jeff Kingston. They have been given permission to interview Raquel Ferreiria of the Red Sox. Zack Scott has been released from his acting GM role and is no longer part of the team. He had been on administrative leave since getting a DWI in September. Mets are a mess.
Phillip Glass.
What do people think of him?
