I’m in. Happy Birthday Bear. I hope to enjoy CK’s win and I plan to celebrate with you.

I, however will be watching the White Sox broadcast. I have a new trick at the beginning of each new series on TV.

I record both the Dodger broadcast and the opponent’s. Like last night, if I start with the Dodger broadcast and the D-Train is in the booth, I promptly delete it and move to the opponent’s broadcast. That way I avoid a night of frustration of having to mute and listen to Pandora. I can’t stand the D-Train even in the studio with Horrible Hairston, let alone in the booth to babble on and on and say little. “you know when I pitched……….” Who gives a shit? Even the great Joe Davis can’t make him bearable.

The Sox team of Steve Stone and especially Jason Bennetti are very good. Different guy with Bennetti last night but he was super informational, humorous, respectful of the Dodgers and didn’t overtalk the game. I will get his complimentary takes on Kershaw tonight. I like listening in the opponent’s broadcasts sometimes anyway to get fresh information and their takes on the Dodgers.

I think Outman needs a visit to OKC to work on hitting fastballs up in the zone. It’s a huge hole. 3 K’s again last night and his average sink faster than the Titanic. As well as his confidence, it seems.

Let’s see whatDeLuca can do in center.

Gonzo is such a great junker. 92 fastball max, well located. Little breaker, bigger breaker, llittle add, little subtract and that disappearing splitter. He’s Stu Miller, 4.0, for the older crowd.

DODGERS ACTIVATE SHELBY MILLER

LOS ANGELES– The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Shelby Miller from the bereavement list and designated left-handed pitcher Adam Kolarek for assignment.

Miller, 32, missed three games while on the bereavement list. On the campaign, he is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA (8 ER/28.0 IP) and 29 strikeouts in 24 games. He has allowed 11 hits in 28 innings, holding hitters to a .118 batting average against. He is in his 11th season in the Major Leagues with St. Louis (2012-14), Atlanta (2015), Arizona (2016-18), Texas (2019), Chicago (2021), Pittsburgh (2021), San Francisco (2022) and Los Angeles (2023) and he is a combined 39-58 with a 4.15 ERA (372 ER/806.0 IP) and 673 strikeouts in 191 games (132 starts). He was signed by the Dodgers on December 1, 2022.

Kolarek, 34, pitched 1.1 innings with the Dodgers, striking out two batters on Sunday afternoon. He had appeared in 21 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, posting an 0-3 mark with a 2.18 ERA (5 ER/20.2 IP) and 12 strikeouts. He has pitched in the Majors parts of seven seasons with Tampa Bay (2017-19), Los Angeles (2019-2020, 2023) and Oakland (2021-22) and he is a combined 11-4 with a 3.73 ERA (60 ER/144.2 IP) and 96 strikeouts. The former Maryland Terrapin was originally drafted by the New York Mets in the 101h round of the 2010 First Year Player Draft.

I don’t see that many games, but it seems that everytime I see Taylor up he just is looking for fastball. So Clevinger just throws him two off speed pitches. Center cut, like batting practice pitches and he misses by a mile and of course strikes out on the third pitch in the dirt. Then that confused look on his face.

I just take anymore of Taylor, Outman and Barnes! I’d rather see Kersh and Urias hit!

Rojas looking a little iffy at shortstop lately. Shortened range, weak throws to first and bad decisions. I wonder if his hamstring is bothering him or if he’s just worried about it. Maybe just in a slight slump…? ehhh never mind

How much more of Almonte and Vesia do we have to see?

Today’s game is coming to an end on Wednesday, June 14, and I note that unlike AF (who certainly knows more than I do) I think reliable relievers are dealing with pitchers.

I see a drop in Freddy’s production (he looks sick) and our relief is pitiful (ninth inning). Well, we’ll see what happens later.

With JD< Betts and Mookie not producing. getting runs was going to be a problem. But, sorry, Roberts should have never sent Almonte back out for a second inning. Vesia proved once again that he still cannot put hitters away, and he hits a guy with two strikes on him. Right now, this bullpen SUCKS big time. New blood is needed, at least some pitchers who can put hitters away.

The pitching remains bad, and now Betts/Freeman/JDM have collectively cooled at the plate.

Since May 16, the Dodgers have stumbled into quicksand, and can’t seem to get out.

Damn, i tuned out after 6 thinking it was in the bag. If I was GM I’d have watched till the end.
