Tulsa Drillers center fielder Mike Sirota went 4-for-5 on Tuesday night with two home runs, a double, and a stolen base in a 9-3 win over the Arkansas Travelers. It was the loudest professional night of his career, and it came against a Mariners affiliate pitching staff that has been one of the best in the Texas League.
Sirota, the Dodgers' first-round pick out of Northeastern in 2024, started in High-A Great Lakes this year, was promoted to Tulsa on May 1, and has now slashed .341 / .429 / .603 in 17 AA games. The plus-plus speed is real. The bat — which had questions when we drafted him — is answering them in a hurry.
