Bobby Miller's Season is Over!

It pains me to say this, but Bobby is just not quite right in the head. Oh, he’s not crazy—he’s just confused and has lost all his confidence. He has to learn either to throw another fastball with a different grip and better spin and to trust his pitches or start over. It won’t happen this year, and he needs to go to Camelback Ranch and work on rebuilding his repertoire and career. The harsh reality is that this is a time of year when they can no longer experiment. I have not lost confidence in Bobby Miller for next year, but this year, he is toast! Maybe he needs some ADHD medication, as he seems to lose focus at times…

Yoshi Yamamoto is back. Jack Flaherty is pitching well, and so is Landon Knack. Glasnow should be back soon, and Kershaw will not be far off. Gavin Stone and Walker Buehler are wild cards, but it appears that there are enough starters for the playoffs, and there is no more time to “fix” Bobby Miller. I’d rather see Wrobleski start because we know he will not make the playoff roster. In short, right about now, it is demoralizing for the team to see Bobby Miller take the mound. Simply put, “Just wait until next year, Bobby!”

Tyler Glasnow can throw all his pitches and threw a very aggressive bullpen session this week. He will pitch a simulated game in Atlanta over the weekend, and if all goes well (and I hear that it is) he will start a game for OKC the week of the 23rd and return to the Dodgers rotation right after that. It would be nice to have Clayton, and he is progressing, but Yamamoto, Flaherty, Glasnow and Knack will work. Kershaw and Stone will be determined later.

After losing two games, it was important to get the win last night as the Dodgers are now one game behind the Braves with 16 games to go. It may be a struggle until the end of the season, but the Dodgers will make the playoffs. That we know. Now, they hard to ATL to play three this weekend. Knack, Flaherty and Buehler will go, in that order. This is a big one for Buehler.

This week was the first time I had traveled since March, when I had to attend a convention in Orlando. It’s been a whirlwind of a year, with buying a new home, moving, construction, and relocating our business this month. As I mentioned earlier in the week, I flew into St. George, Utah, to meet with a Penguin Water Dealer who also has facilities in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Durango, Colorado. I did 9 hours of training with their crew on Tuesday, followed by dinner at BalconyOne Restaurant in Virgin Utah near Zion National Park’s entrance. If you have never been here, you should go – I am going back! Wednesday was additional training, which started at 6 AM and was followed by media interviews and video shoots until 4 PM. Then, at 7:00. I went to dinner with the owner and his wife. Great People! It was a long day, and this morning, I am flying back to Indy. See you on the weekend.

Finally, I am not going to get sucked into an argument. Certain people are not welcome to post here, and they have earned that right. When you wrestle with a pig, you get muddy, and the pig likes it! Go away!
